The coronavirus pandemic strikes and suddenly the education industry finds it rapidly needs to adapt. Whether it is teaching our children in schools or our employees on how to do their job, quarantining and social distancing has forced educators and training companies to come up with novel solutions to carry on through the crisis.

We all know that a fit and active mind is as important as having a healthy body. Regular exercise and good nutrition can keep your body tuned, and if anything goes wrong medics have an array of diagnostics and treatments to help. Maintaining mental wellbeing however is a trickier thing. Our inner world is by and large a mystery even to ourselves, and just recognising there is a problem can be difficult. Nowadays mental health awareness plays a major role in our society.

It is becoming increasingly easy to share #Virtual Reality content such as virtual museum tours or product presentations on the internet. In the New Realities podcast of 1E9 and the XR HUB Bavaria, they present new realities – i.e. projects, ideas, concepts and products in virtual, augmented and mixed reality.w

Events, fair trades and congresses across the globe have been cancelled or postponed because of the spread of the coronavirus. The current situation offers enormous challenges for event planners. What if an event could be held online or even in a virtual environment where thousands could take part and share an experience without the risk of contagion spreading? With Virtual Reality this is possible.

The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic forces museums to keep their gates shut, but German public broadcaster RBB brings their exhibitions to people at home, using the VRdirect platform to create an interactive museum experience in less than two days. In this blog, we’ll discuss how VR can help museums and event organisers to bring their content to their audience in times of crisis.

Imagine if you could be miniaturized and injected into a human artery. Then imagine you are floating there in the plasma whilst a stream of blood cells rushes around you like a shoal of fish. Imagine you can look around you and behind you, and meanwhile a voice explains the purpose of these red and white corpuscles flowing past within a hand’s reach. Wouldn’t that be an amazing and memorable way to learn about how your body functions?

At large events and conventions, it can be difficult for a company to stand out from the crowd. Even in the busiest of settings, however; virtual reality allows users to escape into completely different environments and scenarios that grab their full attention. VRdirect is dedicated to delivering exciting and memorable VR experiences to customers at such events.

MAN is going new ways at the Busworld 2019 by enhancing the experience at the event with Virtual Reality. This enabled MAN to give the visitors a unique glimpse behind the scenes of the construction of the new model Lion’s City 12 E. One of the highlights of this year’s Busworld is the new electrically powered model Lion’s City 12 E from MAN. In order to show visitors the construction of the components and the drive in detail, MAN relies on Virtual Reality.

While vital to run a successful business operation, training an employee costs a company a lot of time, effort, and money. Hands-on training requires an expert in the task, which takes time out of their working day. In more lackluster cases, new employees may have to watch an instructive video or, worse yet, simply read about the task they will perform. They are forced, in these ways, to imagine what the experience will be like without actually doing it. This can lead to false interpretations and a lack of confidence.

In a new art initiative sponsored by Deutsche Telekom and supported by VRdirect, visitors of the museums which exhibit the project ‘Jetzt! Junge Malerei in Deutschland’ will be offered Oculus Go headsets that will teleport them to other participating museums. This way, you can virtually visit 3 different museums while physically staying at one.
