In an i8, part of BMW’s electric fleet, they were heading to England, passing Munich, Cologne, Brussels, Calais to finally reach West Sussex where the legendary event and world’s largest automotive celebration starts on July, 4th. With an integrated chat bot and other exciting features Siemens is showcasing brand new technology they provided for the BMW i8. On top they have been documenting their roadtrip in 360°, which -powered by VRdirect- is transformed into a Virtual Reality experience. What is the Goodwood Festival of Speed?
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the world’s greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture. The Festival celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2018 and is the estate’s biggest event attracting 200,000 people over the four-day weekend. The first Festival, in June 1993, redefined what a car event could be, and, in the years since, it has firmly established itself as the world’s greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture. In 2019 it takes place from July 4th until July 7th. A heady mix of cars, stars and motoring fun. Nowhere else will you get so close to the cars and bikes as they blast up the Hillclimb track.
