The VRXF file format contains links to these media assets, which can be 360° images, videos, or 3D models. It also includes the meta information.
VRXF File Sharing
Media assets can be stored on numerous cloud storage. When opening and playing the VRXF file, the media assets and the meta information are merged again.
VRXF File Player
VRXF files are small and easy to share. The VRXF file can be then played on any VR player and will be compatible with all VR-enabled devices.
The VRXF format will allow enterprise customers to share and access VR projects easily between any device (smartphone and VR headset).
In the future, any device will be capable of playing VRXF files without the need to install specific player software—it will be as easy as opening PDF files on any device today.
