The Oculus Quest 2 is a Virtual Reality (VR) headset developed and produced by Meta-owned company Oculus. It is the successor to the original Oculus Quest and was released on October 13, 2020.
The Quest 2 is an all-in-one VR system, meaning it does not require a PC or external sensors to function. It features improved hardware and specifications compared to its predecessor, including a higher resolution display, a faster processor, and more RAM. It also offers 6 degrees of freedom (6DOF) movement tracking, which allows users to move freely within a virtual space.
The Quest 2 includes two wireless controllers that use inside-out tracking, allowing users to interact with virtual environments in a more natural and intuitive way. It also has access to a large library of VR games and applications through the Oculus Store.
One unique feature of the Quest 2 is the ability to connect it to a PC using a compatible USB-C cable and use it as a PC VR headset, giving users access to even more VR experiences.
